The spatial concept for “Consuming” reflects the diversity of colors and shapes of resources on earth, but also the garish colors and presentations of food in supermarkets and products in stores that are intended to encourage us to consume them.

	Crops such as eggplants, lemons, tomatoes and herbs are intended as decoration.To present these in line with the theme of consumption, (plexi) glass display cases from the HKW warehouse can be used, or alternatively colorful baskets from Modulor.

The dance performance delves into the perspectives of Black Afro-Germans and Afro-Europeans on memories, weaving past experiences and future visions into a tapestry of recollection through various dance, movement, and vocal sequences. How do our past and future interrelate? Another Space/Memory also describes the physical space where transformative processes of healing and empowerment take shape. This is manifested through the performance, video installation, and a live DJ set. All elements collagistically engage with the fusion of the past and the future.&#38;nbsp;

	The stage design concept draws upon elements of Afrofuturism, retro-futurism, and spaces from the personal childhood memories of the performers. This is reflected especially in the choice of materials and colors. Soft, fluffy materials reminiscent of 1960s bathrooms and kindergarten carpets are combined with futuristic chrome spheres and standalone technical equipment. The textile wall and floor represent an abstract children's slide while simultaneously referencing the alien UFO from the film "Nope." These dualities aim to illustrate that everything has existed before and that we cannot move forward without also casting a glance at our history, at the past and what defines us.

"A Participatory Planet" is a series of events focusing on environmental justice. By inviting speakers from various fields such as science, activism, and farming, the series aims to foster community-level solutions through workshops and discussions. The events address themes of growing, consuming, and discarding, encouraging grassroots participation and collaboration.

As a scenographer, I designed spatial landscapes that embodied the event's themes of earth, environment, and nature. My design concept aimed to create spaces that promote collective engagement. Key elements included thread curtains as room dividers and stepped structures serving as presentation, seating, and work surfaces. 

Each phase of the event featured distinct visual themes:
Growing: Represented by green trees, meadows, blue skies, and colorful plants to symbolize blooming nature.Consuming: Highlighted through a variety of colors and shapes reflecting the earth's resources, alongside vibrant hues and presentations reminiscent of mass consumtion and product advertising.

In december 2024 Poetry Meets celebrated their 10 Year Anniversary and invited Berlin to their TOGETHERNESS FEST at Heimathafen Neukölln. Hosting an evening with poetry and music for their berlin community.

The starting point for the stage scenography of the literature festival were the artefacts brought from the Hargeysa Cultural Centre. My task was to integrate the artefacts into a stage design, without displaying them like isolated museum pieces.&#38;nbsp;To show their everyday use without creating an ethnological replica.
The goal of the design is to reference without recreating.

	The scenography is intended to place the artifacts in a context reminiscent of the Aqal, a traditional somali hut. I designed an abstract and stylized version of the hut. Instead of hanging or setting up the works alone, they are incorporated like decoration into the hut. The basic feeling that the structures, colors and shapes are meant to convey is "home". A feeling of comfort and security, like every home, whether a house, cabin, hut or apartment, has.

For "Topspin," a short film about two estranged siblings inspired by Claire Denis' "Nanette et Boni," I aimed to recreate the aesthetic universe of the 1996 classic. I focused on adapting its distinctive mix of colors, patterns, and materials to create a timeless design.

Are you still there?


	MET Filmschool Seminar Reinhild Blaschke
	Set design 2021


I was responsible for the production design of two student films at the seminar. &#38;nbsp;“Jenya” and “SGT.Milo”. 

"Are You Still There" was realized during the Covid 19 lockdown and explores different forms of isolation. I had the opportunity to transform two distinct settings: a military camp station and an abandoned industrial complex.

The Unity scene is set up with a place indicator that lets the user place objects on surfaces, and a UI canvas with buttons con- nected to virtual sound objects. When the user pushes one of the buttons, a matching sound object appears on top of the placement indicator. The sound objects come with a matching audio source that uses spatial audio to create a 3D sound. Once the audio has been placed on a surface, it can be triggered and played by the person approaching within one meter of the object's position.


First, an earcon appears and signals that the person is in the vicinity of a spatial vocabulary → then the word is said in the language the person understands → the person has a few seconds to find the translation → a sound gives feed- back on whether the word was said correctly or not → the word is said by the app in the foreign language with an ex- ample sentence.

The two projects focus on haptic interfaces, which are ways to interact with computers beyond the usual screen and keyboard. We explored various technologies like shape memory alloy, Unity/AR, Processing, and Arduino boards to create and test haptic interfaces.

The ultimate idea we developed is a modular system that can be worn anywhere on the body. This system enables users to get haptic feedback wherever and however they prefer. The aim was to enhance digital interactions by introducing a range of tactile feedback experiences that go beyond simple 'vibrations,' making the interactions more intricate and engaging. It could’t replace or add feedback where people with visual or hearing impairments would otherwise not receive it.
