The goal of this project was to create a product for music lovers. Impuls expands and enriches the clubbing experience through a tactile bass controller and vest. This way DJs can not only curate sound but also the phsyical experience of the audience. Visitors who cannot experience auditive sensations can experience the rhythm and beat on their body.
The guests wear vests with tactile transducers that transmit the bass impulses to the body. The DJ uses a transmitter and controller that allows him/her to control how, where and when the music is felt. It can be connected to a laptop and linked to the music. The tactile feelings can be cont- rolled manually with knobs and a touch field.
